What will you read next? Stuck in a ‘modern literary fiction’ funk, I’ve started reading, not dangerously, but chaotically. But as I trip through crime classics and bounce from political guides to memoirs, I’m discovering more books that feel like companions. These books come together to tell a story more completely, to compliment each other across time, genre or author. So here at Companion Pieces HQ they’ll be no book reviews or detailed plot summaries of recent releases – simply connections between great books (and sometimes poems, plays, audiobooks or podcasts) that I hope will inspire your next good read.
And if anything you read inspires you to think of another book that should be a companion piece, please do let a fellow reader – me – know.
